Hiring 101: Practices & Processes for Healthy Hiring

Tuesday, June 23, 2026
10-11:30am Pacific

Do you want to build a healthy, high-performing, innovative, and diverse team? Start with your hiring practices. The way organizations recruit, interview, and select candidates shapes not only who joins the team, but also the culture people experience once they arrive. In this Leadership Lab, we’ll explore practical and equitable hiring practices that help leaders build stronger teams while creating a candidate experience that communicates dignity, value, and belonging from the very beginning.

This month's Lab will be facilitated by Dr. Jenny Elsey.

Dr. Jenny Lei Elsey identifies as a 1.5 generation Taiwanese-American. She has worked in higher education for twenty years and has gained experience in community, non-profit, and organizational leadership development. She holds a B.A. in Communication Studies and a M.Ed. in College Student Affairs from Azusa Pacific University, as well as an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from George Fox University. Her personal and professional motto is to create environments where people can do their best work.
